Swanland Event, Annual Autumn Pond Maninance on 17th October Saturday from 9:00 am to lunchtime

Join our volunteer team to help cut back the reeds in the pond. No previous experience is needed, but volunteers must be aged 18 or over. If you would like to take part, please contact pond@swanlandvillageassociation.info in advance. Please arrive from 9am so that everyone is ready to start work at 9.30am.

We need volunteers to help collecting the cut reeds in the shallow water (after a local farmer has cut them), they are then taken to the side of the pond for collection and removal. Volunteers work in teams in the water or on the pond side. We may also prune the rear landscaping if we have enough time and volunteers. So, please do come along as we can get a lot more done with more help – “many hands do make for lighter work”! It is usually an enjoyable day and refreshments will be provided.
